RIK CURRIER PITCHING LESSONS

Rik Currier's Bio:

Rik is a native of Orange County playing high school baseball at Capistrano Valley for Bob Zamora.  While in high school Rik was fortunate to receive a scholarship to the University of Southern California.  While at USC Rik became a stand out collegiate pitcher.   He is a member of the National Chacmpion team in '98, PAC-10 Champion '01 and went to the college world series 3 times in his college career.  He was the PAC-10 Pitcher Of The Year in '00, and a two time All-American.  He compiled 38-14 record and is currently the all-time career strikeout record holder at USC (449), and listed third in wins. 

During his summers while in college he played in the Cape Cod League for the Chatham A's.  During his two summers there, he was a member of the championship team in '98, he was a two time All-Star, and the Pitcher of the year in '99.  Rik also became a member of the Cape Cod League Hall of Fame in '06.  

After his collegiate career he was drafted by the Yankees in the 6th round.  He played four years for the Yankees and reached AA playing for the Trenton Thunder.  For the past three years Rik has been playing for the Long Beach Armada.  While playing for the Armada Rik had his contract bought by the Camden Riversharks (Atlantic League), and the Petroleros De Minatitlan (Liga Mexicana).  He also was the Armada's pitching coach in '08.  

Throughout his collegiate and professional career Rik has had a hand in baseball camps, pitching lessons, and coaching teams.  He has instructed pitching for the past eight years and is enjoying every minute of it.  He is also the Dana Hills high school varsity pitching coach for the last two years.
